The LA Ethics 1 package of legislation is on the move through the legislative process!
LA Ethics 1, a statewide coalition of more than 50 business and civic organizations from around Louisiana, is committed to governmental ethics reform. Our package of legislation is making its way through the legislative process and we need your help to be successful. HB 730, which requires financial disclosure for legislators, is expected to be heard on the House floor as early as Tuesday, May 29. In addition, HB 493 (whistleblower protection) and HB 532 (full time ethics administrator) will likely be heard in the Senate and Governmental Affairs Committee on Wednesday, May 30. It is critical that our legislators hear from us that we support these important reforms.
