Odom wants trial in month
By ADRIAN ANGELETTE
Attorneys for Commissioner of Agriculture Bob Odom claim in a motion filed Monday that it would be a disservice to Louisiana voters and possibly an abuse of power by the District Attorney’s Office to allow Odom’s corruption trial to linger into 2007.
Odom remains accused of accepting bribes in a warehouse contract, taking state-owned pine seedlings and planting them on his personal property, and using campaign money that he laundered through his church.
