Blanco, going selling in New York

BATON ROUGE- Gov. Kathleen Blanco and some of Louisiana's leading business executives are heading for New York today to woo investors.
They have scheduled three days of meetings and receptions with Wall Street financial houses and the New York financial press.
Blanco said the goal is to convince the nation's financial capital that Louisiana is a good bet for investment.
The governor delayed her departure to make an announcement today that she is settling her lawsuit with the federal Minerals Management Service that sought a new environmental impact statement that accounts for damages by last fall's hurricanes.
