Racial make-up of electorate remains the big question
LOUISIANA POLITICAL NEWS SERVICE-
Lt. Gov. Mitch Landrieu leads New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin in the most recent poll. The field appears to be bunching up.
In a 400-sample poll done for a group of businessmen:
Landrieu leads with 23 percent;
Nagin, 22 percent;
Peggy Wilson, 11;
Rob Couhig, 5;
Tom Watson, 2;
Virginia Boulet 2,
(The survey was taken April 3-4. The sample was 54 percent white and 46 percent black.) No one knows the actual racial makeup of New Orleans.
