New Poll: Jindal lead big for governor

DAILY REPORT
U.S. Rep. Bobby Jindal has a commanding lead in a trial heat for governor, a poll conducted by Verne Kennedy in March shows.
In a poll of 600 likely voters, Jindal had more than a two-to-one lead over all comers.
The results: Jindal at 39%, retired U.S. Sen. John Breaux 17%; Gov. Kathleen Blanco 16%, U.S. Sen. David Vitter 10% and former Attorney General Richard Ieyoub 2%. Shaw Group CEO Jim Bernhard, PSC Commissioner Foster Campbell and state Sen. Walter Boasso each had 1%. Twelve percent of the respondents were undecided.
Vitter has said he won't run, giving Jindal a boost.
