BERNIE BOUDREAUX RESIGNS LSU POST

ASSOCIATED PRESS

LSU Board of Supervisors Chairman, Bernard E. Boudreaux, informed Governor Kathleen Blanco of his decision to resign from the LSU Board of Supervisors effective immediately.

In a letter to the Governor, Boudreaux said that “membership of this board is not about any individual member…it is about LSU…and I have enjoyed my service on this board more than I can say”.

LPNS COMMENTARY:

Bernie Boudreaux should be commended. He has put LSU, Louisiana, and the interest of our people first. Perhaps, Louisiana would be a better state if more public officials resolved controversy in such a forthright and honest manner. Boudreaux is an asset to Louisiana, and we hope that he will remain active in the business and political affairs of our state for years to come.
