Thought you guys could look into this. It is my understanding that a $60 million low-bid contract has been awarded by DEQ for the removal of cars from hurricane impacted areas.
According to my sources the bid went to a Georgia janitorial service named True Source.
Apparently the state police has requested that the Governor's office suspend the provisions regarding owner notification prior to junking the vehicles. Any information you can find on this would be most helpful.
Something about it just smells fishy. Thank you.
