BLANCO'S "ROAD HOME" SIGNS, ADS RAISE QUESTIONS

THE DEAD PELICAN
BY CHAD E. ROGERS

Governor Blanco is again raising eyebrows with the Road Home Program, THE DEAD PELICAN has learned. The latest ruckus involves Blanco's placement of road signs, as well as strategically placed radio ads.

Sources tell THE DEAD PELICAN that certain highway signs are about to get an exciting addition. A smaller sign to go beneath them will read:

BUILDING A BETTER LOUISIANA-GOV. KATHLEEN BLANCO

Critics are saying this amounts to campaign ads paid for with tax payer dollars! On the radio waves, a similar controversy is festering.

Sources close to THE DEAD PELICAN claim that she has ads on very few talk radio stations. Ads are running on those few stations with the intent of assuring the business community that she is actually "doing something" in the recovery process, sources tell THE DEAD PELICAN.

While only a few talk radio stations are getting the ads, the vast majority are being sold in urban markets where her voting base is more heavily concentrated, sources tell THE DEAD PELICAN.

In other words, she is using tax dollars to buy politically targeted ROAD HOME ads, sources tell THE DEAD PELICAN.

LPNS COMMENTARY: GREAT, MORE OF OUR TAXPAYER DOLLARS BEING SPENT ON BLANCO'S RE-ELECTION CAMPAIGN!
